Coping with Anxiety

A 1.5 hour virtual workshop for teens on strategies to cope with both worry and panic.  

What will be covered:

  • Why we have anxiety and how to build awareness of triggers.

  • Strategies for combating thinking traps such as catastrophizing.

  • Basic mindfulness practices such as breathing and grounding exercises.

  • Distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills.

These workshops are geared towards youth ages 13-17.
Participants will be provided with copies of handouts that will be emailed following the workshop.

Angie is a Registered Psychotherapist with extensive training in CBT (Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy).

Cost $30 +HST
