Three pillars of my practice are: humility, humour, and heart. I aim to make TCM approachable, to meet you where you’re at, and work together to improve your health and well-being. I have always been fascinated by people in relationship - to each other, to their bodies, and to the world.

This fascination first led me to a career in the creative arts. I studied theatre (humans in relation to each other) at Ryerson University / TMU, and subsequently worked in the performing arts for many years.

The same fascination then led me to my current career in the healing arts, exploring the relationship to our body and the natural world around us. I discovered acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine while embarking on my own healing journey. The way TCM weaves together body work, nutrition, herbal medicine, as well as our emotions and spirit really spoke to me. I began studying TCM in 2010 at the Institute of Traditional Medicine, and started practicing in 2015.

Prior to joining the Natural Route Health team in 2023, I worked in multiple downtown Toronto health care clinics, serving a diverse range of patients holistically with interdisciplinary teams. I’ve also worked on-site in fertility clinics doing pre- and post- embryo transfer acupuncture for people going through IVF. I have a TCM general practice, and beyond fertility and pregnancy I commonly treat stress and anxiety, acute and chronic conditions, and people going through life transitions (grief and loss, heartache, job change, etc.), supporting emotional and physical wellbeing.

Merging my passions for both the healing arts and creative arts, I operate on the belief that a fundamental aspect of health comes from an authentic expression of who we are. When we’re able to inhabit and express our full selves, tensions between body and spirit resolve and energy can flow unobstructed.

Finally, this same fascination about people in relationship to the world or the cosmos led me to studying astrology, a current passion and hobby of mine.

One thing I love about being a TCM Practitioner is that I can keep learning and evolving, to share my knowledge and have more to offer my patients. I hold certificates in Ayurveda Self-Care and Ayurveda for the Psyche. I completed a Contemplative End of Life Care program. Currently, I am enrolled in a program called Neijing Nature-Based Medicine which delves deeper into the Chinese medical classics (on pause since becoming a new mother!).

After the birth of my daughter in 2022, my husband and I decided to move back to my hometown of Kingston, in order to be closer to family and nature. I am delighted to have landed in such good company at Natural Route Health, and I look forward to meeting you.
