Five Health-Focused Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Of course as Valentines Day approaches we are thinking about you, our lovely patients and readers. You brighten each day for us and we are so happy to be a part of your health-journey. We know it can be difficult to stay on track with your goals, so we wanted to help you find some fun health-focused Valentines gifts for that sweet someone in your life, or for you to treat yourself with!

  1. Fruit
Rather than indulging your loved one's sweet-tooth with overly sugary chocolates, consider sending them an edible arrangement instead! You can pick up an arrangement at the Edible Arrangement's store in Kingston, or have them delivered to someone in the area (they even deliver as far away as Gananoque.) Show your love by helping your sweetheart reach their heath goal through healthy eating!

  2. Yoga
Treat yourself to a relaxing night of yoga, or go out with your Valentine for a yoga date-night. Consider trying Janati Yoga in Kingston. For our patients we have two FREE PASSES for you and your loved one (limited quantities available)!

  3. Spa Day
Even if you aren't big on Valentine's day, during the winter our skin needs extra care. From all the hand-washing, dry air, and mittens we are taking on and off, your hands may be asking you for some extra love and care! If you're looking for a way to treat your sweetheart, a trip to the spa may be just what they've been hinting at. Try a relaxing hot lava rock massage at Perfetta Spa or a gentle, natural manicure from Cher Mere.

  4. Creative Cooking
Restaurants on Valentines day can often be summed up in one word: crowded. Take some time to relax at home with your Valentine and cook up a new recipe. Try baking with absolutely no recipe, and guessing at ingredients--you may surprise yourself with something delicious, or maybe just a memory you can laugh about later! You could also take this time to branch-out and try a new recipe, such as Vegan Enchilladas. For more creative vegan meal ideas, check out Oh She Glow's blog.

  5. Acupuncture
If you have a loved one suffering from headaches, stress, nausea, or muscle aches, a gift certificate to an acupuncture treatment will give them the opportunity to relax and focus on their health. Call today to get your gift certificate (613-767-6982).

From all of us here at Natural Route Health, we hope you feel loved and cared for this Valentine's Day, and have fun! <3
