For the purposes of this program, cleanse and detoxification (detox) are used interchangeably.
What is detoxification?
Detoxification means to cleanse the blood of toxins and impurities.
How does detoxification work?
The liver is the main organ responsible for removing toxins from our blood. Each day we are exposed to many chemicals and toxins in our environment including our food, air, water, cosmetics, and household products. This exposure burdens our liver causing improper filtration of our blood, which in turn affects the rest of our body. Although many factors contribute to dis-ease, liver toxicity may be attributed to chronic fatigue, difficulty losing weight, poor concentration, mood swings, and bloating after meals to name a few. Our program uses clean eating, supplements, and healthy lifestyle habits to balance the organs responsible for eliminating toxins including the liver, kidneys, lungs, intestines, and skin.
What are the goals of the True Cleanse Program?
- Promote optimal liver functioning by balancing both phases of liver detoxification.
- Eliminate bad bacteria and replenish good bacteria in the Gastrointestinal system.
- Reduce stress and emotional toxins.
- Increase the amount of healthy nutrients in the body and decrease inflammation.
- Promote Hydration.
Why do a cleanse?
The main reason is to renew your body’s ability to maintain health by decreasing toxin levels in the blood, which in turn helps to prevent disease. Detoxification is practiced among many cultures worldwide and is beneficial to almost everyone.
Who should not practice detoxification?
Pregnant or nursing women and children should not practice detoxification.
