My holistic journey began close to seven years ago when facing many health limitations of my own. I moved to Vancouver and found myself working alongside a team at one of Vancouver’s Naturopathic and Colon Hydrotherapy clinics. Watching the day to day and being part of some life changing moments, it was here I decided that this industry was something very important to me. I developed a strong interest in nutrition and steered my focus towards herbs and food and how they could help heal and nurture the body.
I later moved even further into the mountains and spent the next few years exploring beautiful British Colombia and travelling as much as possible. Most of my time was spent cooking, hiking, camping, discovering nature and most importantly learning about the food/health connection.
When I moved back to Ontario with my partner, he was starting a business of his own, so I decided it was time for me to take the next step. I enrolled in an Orthomolecular Nutrition program where I was able to apply and advance my interests in learning more about nutrition and the body, and specifically the biochemical individual needs of the human body.
I joined the NRH team in 2017 and I was lucky enough to be brought on as the Office Manager. This position allows me to spend my days both learning and helping others reach their wellness goals, while still studying to better enhance my education and to be able to provide support to my local community.
I am a big believer in this community and that belief is based on discovering the importance of taking a holistic approach when learning about your own body and its biochemical individuality. I am grateful to be able to work alongside some wonderfully brilliant practitioner’s so that I can first handily witness the growth and incredible outcome that natural medicine can provide.
Outside of being buried in books to complete my diploma and greeting the lovely patients at the clinic, you can find me practicing yoga & meditation, travelling, spending time with my husky, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my friends & family.
