I grew up in a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) family in China. For generations, most of the men in my family were TCM Doctors. Because of this, TCM is rooted in my blood.
Since I was 17 years old, I suffered from severe insomnia. My mind was like a computer that couldn’t shut off. I tried many different treatments but I continued to feel exhausted, weak, and hopeless. It wasn’t until I was treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbs that my sleep issues resolved. I am continually amazed at the profound effects these modalities have.
In my earlier university days, I studied engineering, finance and accounting. I graduated from Northwestern Polytechnic University in Xi’an China and after many years of working in these fields found my interests shifting towards medicine.
In China, I spent time shadowing Dr. Li and Dr. Zou, two well-known acupuncturists and TCM Doctors. My experience with them combined with my personal health improvements lead me to my decision to study TCM full-time.
I spent four years studying at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I graduated in 2017 and am registered with the college.
I believe every person is different and unique. Lifestyle, environment, and emotions are just some of the things that influence your health, and it can be hard to change them but TCM can help to balance your body to make those changes easier.
Some concerns that clients come to see me for include: difficulty sleeping, low energy, pain management, arthritis, headaches/migraines, anxiety and depression, allergies, and musculoskeletal injuries such as frozen shoulder.
My ultimate goal is for you to find balance so that you can live your life fully and in optimal health.
