Happy Thanksgiving! Time to Harvest Gratitude!

by Dr. Alanna Kuhn, ND

Harvest Gratitude. With the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to focus our attention on what we are grateful for in our life. Studies have shown that people who feel grateful report increased life satisfaction, better sleep, less physical ailments, and strengthened relationships. This week, I challenge you to write down three things that you are grateful for. To reap the best benefits describe each one in detail, think of what your life might be like without it, and focus at least one on a person rather than a thing. This will help to deepen the emotional impact as well as increase their meaning in your life. You may even consider telling that special someone how their presence makes your life more fulfilling. It is easy to take for granted the people, places, and things that are truly important to us. This week, boost your appreciation and re-discover what makes your life meaningful by harvesting gratitude. ~Alanna
